NthGrep is a Windows based grep utility with the ability to search multiple directories and file types, save searches, view surrounding lines and view or edit files. Unlike a find utility which just list files containing a string, NthGrep will print each line from each file that contains the character string.
NthGrep is useful for determining if and where and how a variable, function or any other reference is used and allows you to copy source code segments from into the program that you are editing. For instance NthGrep could be used to search a directory of sample programs for the usage of a function or subroutine.
