MathLanders A+ is a math practice software for grades 1 to 6 that uses effective motivational methods to determine kids to perform sustained math work for extended periods of time, and become math experts by having fun at the same time.
Online activities with MathLanders are sure to hook kids on math. They can compete with other MathLanders users by submitting their scores online. They can enrol in individual or team daily and weekly competitions and become champions.
MathLanders A+ covers areas such as number sense and numeration, counting, rounding, place value, additions and subtractions, multiplications, divisions, fractions, mixed operations, equations, whole and decimal numbers, logic and critical thinking and more. In addition, the program naturally introduces abstract concepts in mathematics such as variables and equations, inequalities, linearity, proportionality. Thousands of math word problems are also included.
But MathLanders is much more than that. Student's access time to the computer can be limited based on the amount of math worked performed. By solving math quizzes, the student earns Math Money that he/she can use to pay his/her computer access time, or for other purposes. When time is up, MathLanders cuts Windows access automatically and switches back into quiz mode.
MathLanders A+ includes unlimited highly customizable math worksheet generation in easy pdf format, based on multiple selection for difficulty levels, with the choice to print the quiz answers too. Automatic difficulty progression can be chosen for the selected quiz types.
MathLanders A+ can also be used as a parental surveillance and control tool. Parents watch kids' activities on the internet, or off line. Preferentially restrict websites or programs (games) kids use. Or, more restrictively, only allow specified websites and programs.
