Simple GPS Tester allows users with serial or USB GPS devices to automatically find the settings for their GPS, test the GPS signal strength and see diagnostic information about their GPS. The main features are:
1) Ability to automatically detect COM port and baud rate for your GPS device, or to test each one manually
2) Displays status information about the GPS - whether the COM port is active, whether a device was detected and whether the device is a GPS device
3) Displays information from the GPS such as latitude, longitude, altitude, number of satellites in view, number of satellites being used by the GPS, GPS signal accuracy etc.
4) Shows the raw NMEA data output by the GPS
Simple GPS Tester is ideal for finding your settings and testing your GPS device before use with laptop sat nav software, such as InfoMap Navigator, PrymeNav Navigator or Memory Map Explorer. It will work with any standard USB or serial GPS device.
