Oddmaze is a simple game: eat all objects on the screen (except the money bags which are optional) and you are off to the next level. Enemies are interesting for a couple of reasons. First, when in normal mode, they pursue you just like enemies would in, say, PACMAN. Simply get out of their way. If they catch you, you lose one life. If you run out of lives, the game is over and you need to restart.

BUT.... enemies have a darker side: when they get tired of chasing you or they can't find you, they mutate for about 30 seconds. When mutated, enemies can eat through tiles thus carving a direct path to you. When this happens, have bombs ready or get a potion!! When enemies eath through tiles they will also take items from you.

Strategy: Eat all collectible items on a level. Grab as many hearts as you can (extra life) and as many bombs as you can. Potions will make you invulnerable for a while. When all items are taken, the exit opens and you are off to the next level once you grab the exit tile.

This game comes with a full-blown level editor. You can change absolutely everything in the game using the editor. You can create brand new levels or you can modify existing levels. The editor works only on the full version of the game.
